B. 1956, a native of Upstate New York and graduate of the Eastman School of Music,has lived in New York City for over 30 years as a composer of opera, theater, dance, film and song.Ms. Kimper's first opera Patience & Sarah, received its world premierein Lincoln Center Festival '98, and was most recently produced in Oakland, California.The Captivation of Eunice Williams was commissioned by the PVMA of Deerfield, MA,premiered in July 2004, and will receive its 8th production in Tel Aviv, Israel in 2012.Her third opera is based on The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder.Ms. Kimper's new opera TRUTH, about the life of Sojourner Truth, will premiere in February 2012. Ms. Kimper has composed for films and television since 1987.GLACIER BAY, an award-winning 2006 short film, directed by Douglas Moser, features music by Kimper.Flight of the HARMONIC MESSENGER, a 1993 electro-acoustic CD release, has aired worldwide.Her complete catalog was recently acquired by the Loeb Music Library of Harvard University.
