Paula M. Kimper (b. 1956) of New York City is active as a composer of opera, theater, dance, film and song. The Captivation of Eunice Williams, commissioned by the PVMA, premiered in July 2004, and received its Central European Premiere in July, 2008, in Ohrid Festival, with two performances in September at the Albanian National Theater in Skopje, Macedonia. Kimper's first opera, Patience & Sarah, received its world premiere in Lincoln Center Festival '98, New York City, and was performed in Oakland, California, in June 2007. Ms. Kimper's third opera, based on The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder, was seen in a workshop in October 2007 by Old Deerfield Productions. EMPTINESS, A Suite of Mahadeviyakka, for two voices, guitar and dance was commissioned by Amy Pivar, premiered at NYCs Dance New Amsterdam in March 2007. SKINNY MARYS TALK ABOUT FAITH, and 10 of 10,000: Mermaid Lullabys, for two voices and cello, were commissioned by The Phoenix Concerts and premiered by Seraphim. Glacier Bay, an award-winning new film directed by Douglas Moser, features music by Kimper. |

Dear Nick, Linda and Paula, We had the
opening
night on 29th. We had very successful show also the
critics and reweaves were good. The opera was played also
in
Struga on
30th
and in Tetovo on 31th. So everything was going by the plan and we
had no problems at all. So now we may say that
The
Captivation of Eunice Williams was a successful project. As you
now it's a historical moment for us because it was the first
Albanian opera produced in Macedonia and we are glad that it
happened and we made it. Also we like to thank you for all
your support to make this happened. In September you will
come in Skopje, you don't have to worry about the
accommodation, and you will see all our work. Don't worry
about the finance, we will make it to with the budget that
we have...Now in Ghanavhake thinks are good:-We are waiting
you. Opera premiere went
perfectly well! The audience was impressed and all positive
critics are telling that this is the one most unique operas
ever happened in Macedonia...here is the photos from the
